The courses will be held from August 23rd to September 5th 2009.

Students may attend the course as active participants standing an admission test performing a programme lasting 30 minutes at least, which may be partly or totally listened by the commission (the admission test will be effected the first day of the course at 3.00 p.m.) . Reserved to Italian and Foreign competitors who on September 30th 2009 won’t be 35 years old yet.

If the first prize is not awarded, a second prize will be awarded “ex-aequo” of the foreseen amount.

The contest is subdivided into three public tests:
I. Round (eliminatory): performance, of the following works:
A. – “Homenaje pour le tombeau de Debussy” di Manuel de Falla.
B. – "Fantasia que contrahaze la harpa en la manera de Ludovico" di Alonso Mudarra
II. Round: performance of the following compositions:
A. – performance of one of the following lute suites BWV 995 – 996 – 997 – 1006 A or Preludio Fuga Allegro BWV 998 from J.S.Bach;
B. – one original piece for guitar, not exceeding ten minutes;
III. Round (final): free choise performance of a programme, original for guitar, including works of XIX (Classic or Romantic) and XX century, 25-30 minutes.

Competitors have to gather on September 2nd, 2009 at 7.00 p.m. at the Centro Civico Multifunzionale "Andrea Castellani" - Via Teatro, 14 - Gargnano to be present at rollcall and to fix the order of their performances. The Jury Members reserve to admit the number of competitors they think right to the 2nd and 3rd tests.
1) Each competitor has to give his work text to the Jury;
2) Winners of the first prizes or competitors twice awarded with the second prize in previous editions are not allowed to enter the contest;
3) The musical pieces played by the competitors at the contest cannot be performed during the course.
