If the importance of a Festival compares to the artistic level of the performers who take part to, surely the first edition of ‘Tuscan Guitar Festival’ begins with the will to stand out from the international cultural scene as one of the main point of reference in the Guitar Universe. As these “names” say: David Russel, Pavel Steidl, Zoran Dukic, Duo Melis (Alexis Muzarakis and Susan Prieto), Eduardo Isaac, Giampaolo Bandini. Seven of the greatest artists both as concert performers and as teachers. A festival that develops from January to June 2010 and forsees six concerts in suggestive places of our territory, an annual international master (in which the same Festival concert performers will take part to as teachers), an International Competition of Guitar performance ‘Tuscan Guitar Competition’ (final proof with orchestra) and a series of meetings and seminars with the most important Italian lutists. A Festival that proposes to the students and to the musicians of all over the world a great chance to an artistic grouth and to all classical music fans, meetings with interpreters of high prestige. I want to thank the Festival planners and administrators, M° Giordano Bindi, guitar teacher at ‘Accademia Musicale Toscana’ and M° Giampaolo Bandini, main teacher at the Improvement Course, who has chosen our Academy as seat to organize the Festival. I want to thank, too, local Communes because, with their contribution, they made this Festival realizable.
