Johannes Moller Wins GFA International Concert Artist Competition
The GFA Convention wrapped up on Sunday, June 27 with the final rounds of the International Concert Artist Competition and the International Youth Competition. We are pleased to announce the winners of the competitions.
XXVIII International Concert Artist Competition
1st Place: Johannes Moller (Sweden)
2nd Place: Artyom Dervoed (Russia)
3rd Place: Eduardo Costa (Brazil)
4th Place: Alexander Milovanov (USA/Belarus)
VI International Youth Competition Senior Division
1st Place: Tengyue Zhang (China)

Congratulations to all the winners! The required piece for the 2011 International Concert Artist Competition was announced at the closing ceremony: Joaquin Rodrigo's Junto al Generalife. Thank you to all competitors who participated this year, and best of luck to you in 2011.

The Convention in Austin is well underway, with great performances, lectures, masterclasses and workshops filling the days for the nearly 700 participants. A full review will appear on this site after the close of the convention, for now, the competition results. The International Concert Artist Competition Preliminary round took place Tuesday through Thursday. The jury consisted of Michael Andriaccio, Randall Avers, Peter Katona, Zoltan Katona, and Ana Vidovic. Twelve competitors were selected to move on to the semifinal round. In performance order, they are:
