Muchas gracias.
Hola Manuel.
The third item was a Sonata in A Minor (the "Arpeggione") by Schubert. The Arpeggione, it transpires, was an instrument invented by G. Staufer of Vienna i n 1823. It was an amalgam of a guitar and a 'cello, being shaped like a guitar, having a fingerboard with frets and six strings but with a body the size of a small 'cello and played with a bow. Its one exponent was a Vincent Schuster. Schubert was very enthusiastic about the instrument and wrote this lovely sonata for it and piano.
