1st prize: Irina Kulikova, Russia (3.500 Euros tax free, a guitar by Mario Gropp (4.600 Euros), 2 concerts in 2009 and a D’Addario endorsement for two years. (Picture with juror Hubert Käppel enclosed)

2nd prize: Sabrina Vlaskalic, Serbia (2.000 Euros tax free, a guitar by Constantin Dumitriu (4.500 Euros), Strings by D’Addario and Savarez

3rd prize: Florian Larousse, France (1.000 Euros tax free), strings by D’Addario and Savarez

4th prize: Thomas Csaba, France (500 Euros)

5th prize: Sanja Plohl, Slovenia (250 Euros)

50 participants from 30 countries took part in the competition which was held right before the 17th Int. Guitar Sympoisum Iserlohn 2008.
The jurors were: Bruce Holzman (USA), Tom Johnson (USA), Hubert Käppel (Germany), Frank Gerstmeier (Germany),
Dale Kavanagh (Canada), Alfonso Montes (Venezuela), Werner Kämmerling and Ulrich Stracke (Germany).
