La Fundación Gredos San Diego tiene el honor de presentar el I Concurso Internacional
de Guitarra “Gredos San Diego” de Madrid.

OBJETIVOS
Facilitar el descubrimiento de nuevos valores y posterior promoción de sus carreras
profesionales.

REQUISITOS
El concurso está organizado para intérpretes de guitarra de cualquier nacionalidad
con una edad máxima de 35 años.

INSCRIPCIÓN
Se establece un límite de 60 participantes, en caso de superarlo se establecerá una
primera selección por currículum.
Los participantes que hayan ganado alguno de los tres primeros premios de un
concurso internacional de guitarra, previo envío de certifi cado acreditativo de la
documentación que manifi este dichos logros, pasarán directamente a la prueba B
(semifinal).

INSTRUCCIONES
1. Acceder a la web www.fundaciongsd.org para descargar el formulario de inscripción
junto con estas instrucciones.
2. Rellenar el formulario de inscripción.
3. Realizar el pago de 65€, en concepto de derechos de inscripción, en la entidad
y cuenta bancaria que se indica a continuación:

Para transferencias internacionales añadir el código SIWFH: CAHMESMMXXX
4. Digitalizar/escanear la siguiente documentación:
• Justifi cante de pago de los derechos de inscripción.
• DNI, Documento de Residencia ó Pasaporte.
• Acreditación de galardones obtenidos en otros concursos (si es el caso).
5. Enviar por email a la dirección concursoguitarra@fundaciongsd.org, adjuntando:
• Formulario de inscripción cumplimentado.
• Documentos digitalizados (detallados en el apartado 4).
• Currículum vitae resumido.
• Fotografía.

CIERRE DE INSCRIPCIÓN
No se admitirá ninguna inscripción cuya comunicación, exclusivamente
por email (hoja de inscripción, notifi cación de ingreso de derechos de
inscripción, títulos acreditativos, etc.) sea posterior a las 24:00 horas de
la fecha señalada para el cierre del plazo de inscripción, el 22 de abril
de 2011.

LISTA DE ADMITIDOS
La lista de admitidos se publicará en la página web 27 de abril de 2011.

DOMICILIO
El Concurso se celebrará del 9 a 14 de mayo de 2011.
Las pruebas eliminatorias se realizarán en el Auditorio del Colegio Gredos
San Diego Las Suertes de Madrid, situado en la C/ Rafael de León,
10, 28051.
La Prueba Final y la Gala de entrega de premios se celebrará en la Sala
“Manuel de Falla” del Conservatorio Superior de Madrid.

DESARROLLO DEL CONCURSO
Presentación y sorteo de actuación
El orden de actuación se establecerá por sorteo público el día 4 de abril
a las 11:00 h., en la sala “Valle Inclan” del Círculo de Bellas Artes de
Madrid, situado en la C/ Alcalá, 42.
Fases del Concurso
Prueba A (eliminatoria)
• Lunes 9 y miércoles 11.
• Un programa de libre elección que no exceda los diez minutos de
duración.
Prueba B (semifi nal)
• Jueves 12.
• Un programa de libre elección que no exceda los veinte minutos de
duración.
Prueba C (fi nal)
• Viernes 13.
• Un programa de libre elección que no exceda los veinticinco minutos
de duración.
Las obras elegidas por los concursantes serán distintas en cada fase y
en ningún momento del concurso se podrán repetir obras interpretadas
en fases anteriores.
Los concursantes y fi nalistas premiados tendrán la obligación de participar
en la Gala de Entrega de Premios.

Presidencia
D. Ricardo Gallén [Catedrático en la Escuela Superior de Música de Weimar, Alemania
y profesor principal del III Master de Interpretación Musical en Guitarra en la
Universidad de Extremadura, Cáceres. Concertista de gran prestigio Internacional].

Miembros del Jurado
 D. Jose Luis Rodrigo [Catedrático de Guitarra del Real Conservatorio Superior de
Madrid].
 D. Gerardo Arriaga [Doctor en Musicología por la Universidad de Valladolid y
profesor de Musicología en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid].
 D. Sungho Chang [Profesor de Guitarra en el Instituto Nacional de las Artes de
Corea].
 Dª. Marisol Plaza [Profesora del Conservatorio de Música Adolfo Salazar y presidenta
de la Socidedad Española de la Guitarra].
 D. Javier Somoza [Profesor de Guitarra del Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid
y concertista].
Secretario
  D. Alfonso Lizondo [Coordinador de actividades artísticas de la Cooperativa Artemus.

PREMIOS
Los premios son indivisibles.
La cantidad destinada a premios asciende a un total de 20.000€, y una guitarra de
concierto valorada en 3.000€, además se hará entrega a los galardonados de los
correspondientes trofeos. La distribución de los premios en metálico se realizará de
la siguiente manera:
• 1er Premio 8.000 euros más 4 conciertos valorados en 500€ cada uno.
• 2º Premio 5.000 euros más 4 conciertos valorados en 500€ cada uno.
• 3er Premio 2.000 euros más 2conciertos valorados en 500€ cada uno.
• Premio a la mejor interpretación de música española: Premio de una Guitarra de
concierto valorada en 3.000€.
Nota: Todos los premios llevarán la retención legalmente establecida.

DISPOSICIONES ADICIONALES
• Todas las pruebas estarán abiertas al público.
• Las decisiones del jurado son inapelables.
• El simple hecho de participar implica la plena aceptación de este
reglamento y de los resultados del concurso.
• Los candidatos que se inscriban en el concurso se comprometen a
participar en la totalidad de las pruebas y en los conciertos que les
designe el jurado (véase el capítulo de premios).
• La organización se reserva el derecho de modifi car los actos y pruebas,
ante imprevistos o por motivos organizativos.
• Todos los participantes deberán estar provistos de las partituras necesarias
para la interpretación del programa, y deberán entregar a la
organización el día del sorteo dos copias de las obras a interpretar en
todas las fases.
• Las pruebas y los conciertos podrán ser transmitidos en directo o en
diferido por radio o por televisión en todo el mundo y ser grabados
en cualquier soporte.
• El Concurso Internacional de Guitarra de Madrid “Gredos San Diego”,
poseerá los derechos mundiales de grabación y retransmisión por
radio y televisión o cualquier otro medio audiovisual de grabación,
reproducción y/o difusión existentes o que puedan surgir en el futuro,
de las intervenciones del concursante, quien renuncia expresa y formalmente
a todos aquellos derechos que por este motivo le pudieran
corresponder.

OBJECTIVES
The contest is presented as an opportunity to discover new talented guitarists
and as a starting point to promote their future professional careers.

REQUISITES
This contest is open to guitar soloists of all nationalities with a maximum
age of 35 years old.

REGISTRATION FORMALITIES
There will be a maximum of 60 contestants, in case this number was
exceeded there will be established a CVs based selection.
Contestants who have obtained a fi rst, second or third position at any
previous classical international guitar contest will not be required to pass
the selection process, as far as they present supporting written evidence
in advance.

PROCEDURE
1. Download the application form from the webpage:

2. Complete the application form.
3. Expend the registration fee, 65€, which is not reimbursable under any
circumstances, to the following account number:

In case of international transfer, please add the SWIFT CODE: CAHMESMMXXX.
4. Documents that must be e-mailed to:
concursoguitarra@fundaciongsd.org:
• Duly fi lled registration form. Only this form will be accepted. It must
be fi lled and typed without mistake.
• Bank receipt of the registration fee.
• Passport.
• Accreditations or rewards obtained in other international contests .
• A brief curriculum vitae (maximum ½ page in A4 format).
• 1 identity photograph.

DEADLINE
Registration is only validated after reception before 23rd April 2011.

ADDMISSIONS
The list of selected competitors will be published on the offi cial webpage of the contest
in the 27th, April 2011.

ADDRESS
Place and schedule for the trials.
The contest includes 3 public trials. The fi rst two stages will be held at “Colegio
Gredos San Diego Las Suertes”, Madrid with the following address: C/ Rafael de
León 10, 28051.
The final stage and the special prizes will be proclaimed at Sala “Manuel de Falla”,
Conservatorio Superior de Madrid.

PHASES OF THE CONTEST
Presentation
A drawing will be held to determine the order of performances of the contestants
for all trials in Círculo de Bellas Artes (“Valle Inclan”), C/ Alcalá, 42, Madrid, on
Monday 4th, April 2011 at 11:00, after the selection of the jury members.
Phases
First trial (eliminatory)
• Monday 9th and Wednesday 11th .
• Recital chosen by the performer and during around 10 minutes.
Second trial (semi-fi nal)
• Thursday 12th .
• Recital chosen by the performer and during around 20 minutes.
Third trial (fi nal)
• Friday 13th.
• Recital chosen by the performer and during around 20 minutes.
The pieces chosen for the trials will be different at each case, not being permitted to
repeat any of them.
The contestant’s presence is mandatory in the prizes ceremony.

JURY
Presidency
Mr. Ricardo Gallén [Chairman professor at the Superior Music School
of Weimar, Germany, and leading teacher or the III of Musical Guitar
Performance at the Universidad de Extremadura, Cáceres. Mr. Guillén is
a recognized music performer internationally].

Jury members
 Mr. Jose Luis Rodrigo [Chairman guitar professor at the Real Conservatorio,
Madrid].
 Mr. Gerardo Arriaga [Doctor in musicology by the Universidad de Valladolid
and music professor at the Universidad Complutense, Madrid].
 Mr. Sungho Chang [Guitar professor at the National Institute of Arts in
South Korea].
 Ms. Marisol Plaza [Guitar professor at Adolfo Salazar Conservatory
and president of the Sociedad Española de Guitarra].
 Mr. Javier Somoza [Guitar professor and performer at the Real Conservatorio
of Madrid].
Secretario
  Mr. Alfonso Lizondo [Coordinator of artistic activities at Artemus Musical
Cooperative].

PRIZES
Prizes will be assigned individually.
The overall quantity of the prizes will be an economic amount of 20.000€,
a professional guitar with an estimated value of 3000€ and the corresponding
trophies.
The distribution of the prizes will be like follows:
• 1st prize 8000.00€ and four concerts of 500€ each.
• 2nd prize 5000.00€ and four concerts of 500€ each.
• 3rd prize 2000.00€ and four concerts of 500€ each.
• A special prize: a professional Spanish guitar with an estimated value
of 3000.00€. (Given to the best musical performance of a Spanish
piece)
A legal retention will be applied to every prize.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• All performances will be opened to the public.
• The decisions of the jury members will be unquestionable.
• Registering to the contest involves the contestant’s acceptance, without reserve, to
all the rules and results of the contest.
• The contestant’s PRESENCE is MANDATORY throughout the whole contest.
• All contestant will present the performing scores to the organization during the
drawing, including double copies of each of them.
• By registering to the contest, each contestant authorizes the recording or public
broadcasting of the performances through the media all around the world.
• The International Guitar Contest of Madrid Gredos San Diego has the exclusivity
and commercial rights to record, distribute or sell, by any means, the pieces played
during the trials and the whole contest in present and future, all around the world.
Each contestant transfers the exclusive right to Gredos San Diego of what has been
said before renouncing to any right of ownership in the future.

DIRECTION AND ORGANIZATION OF THE CONTEST

• Supported by Spanish Guitar Association.
• Artistic Management: Rubén Cruz, president of Gredos San Diego Foundation.
• Technical Management: Artemus Cooperative.
The organization of the contest reserves the capacity to introduce changes in the jury
members if it was considered necessary by technical reasons or others.
